Ingredients
- 6 Boneless PORK CHOPS
- 1 lg. ONION, cut into 6 slices
- 2 tsp. Minced GARLIC
- 1/2 C. Brown SUGAR *
- 1-1/2 C. unsweetened ORANGE JUICE
- 32 oz. can YAMS, drained
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Brown chops on both sides in a large lidded non-stick skillet.
Place a slice of onion on each chop.
Mix the garlic, sugar and orange juice together and pour it over the chops.
Cover and bring to a boil.
Turn down low and simmer for 20 minutes.
ADD yams to the skillet, cover again and simmer 15 minutes more.
Diabetic Substitute:
( * ) 1/4 C. EQUAL-BROWN SUGAR Mix
