Slow Cooker Cheesy Bacon and Onion Dip

Ingredients
- 8 slices of thick cut bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cup mozzarella, shredded
- 10 oz. can diced tomatoes with chilies, drained

Preparation
Step 1
1.cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until slightly crispy
2.remove and allow to drain on a paper towel
3.chop when cooled to the touch
4.drain the bacon grease and leave 1 tbsp in the skillet
5.add the onion to the pan and season with salt, pepper, and brown sugar, cook for 1 to 2 minutes
6.stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 min
7.mix the cream cheese and sour cream together in the insert of the slow cooker
8.add in the mozzarella cheese, onions, bacon and diced tomatoes
9.heat on high 1-2 hours or until warm and cheese has melted.
10.serve with chips or crackers
