Ingredients

  • 1 pkg devil's food cake mix
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 c sour cream
  • 1 tub cream cheese frosting
  • 1/2 c seedless red raspberry jam
  • 2 tubs chocolate frosting
  • fresh raspberries

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 deg. Grease & flour 2 round pans. Blend mix, water, oil, eggs & 1 c sour cream. Beat at low speed until moistened (30 seconds). Medium speed for 2 mins. Pour into pans. Bake & cool cake according to pkg directions. Place 1 layer on platter; spread 3/4 c cream cheese frosting. Spread jam on frosting. Top with 2nd layer. Frost with choc. frosting. Prepare sauce, blend remaining cream cheese frosting and 1 c sour cream in small bowl until creamy. Garnish top of frosted cake with 2-3 T sauce in center and fresh raspberries. Place 2 T sauce on center of each serving plate, top with slice of cake. Ganish with raspberries.
