Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These can be made ahead of time and reheated and will taste like they are freshly mashed.

Ingredients
- 2 lbs baking potatoes, unpeeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tbsp butter, sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup milk

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients except milk in slow cooker. Toss to combine. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours and 15 minutes or on low for 7 hours. Add milk to potatoes and mash with potato masher or beat with electric mixer until fairly smooth.
Place mashed potatoes in slow cooker 2 hours before serving. Cover and turn cooker to low. Stir before serving.
