Ingredients
- 3 ears fresh sweet corn, husked
- 1 cup ginger ale
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
- 12 broccoli florets (about 11/2 cups)
- 1 pound raw shrimp, shelled and deveined

Step 1
1. Cut each ear crosswise in half, then lengthwise in half to form four ``coblets.'' Set aside.
2. In a 2-cup microwavable container, combine ginger ale, soy sauce, cornstarch and sesame oil. Stir until blended. Microwave on high (100 percent) power for 1 minute. Continue to stir and microwave in 1-minute increments until sauce thickens.
3. In a large, shallow microwavable dish, place shrimp, broccoli and the reserved corn. Pour sauce over mixture. Cover with wax paper and microwave on high (100 percent) power, stirring once, until the shrimp turns pink and opaque and the broccoli is tender, about 10 minutes.
