Aunt Alice's Orange Loaf Cake

Delicious - can be used alone or with other toppings like whipped cream or ice cream

Ingredients

• 2 c sifted flour
• 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• OR
• 2 c self rising flour + 4 T
• 1 1/4 c sugar
• 1/2 c shortening (butter or Crisco)
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 c grated rind & juice

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 350' (325' for glass pan)
Grease pan

Beat all ingredients 2 min.Put into pan.
Bake 60-70 min. Remove from oven.
Cool 5 min. then turn out on wire rack to finish cooling.
