Candy's Lemon Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • McCormick Grill Seasoning for Chicken
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts and/or thighs
  • 1 cup chicken broth + 1 cube chicken bouillon
  • 1 heaping tsp. minced garlic (used jarred)
  • 1 lemon (or 3 Tbsp. fresh juice) I used the whole lemon, didn’t measure. Squeezed the last bit over the chicken
  • 1 tablespoon butter ( stirred it in the pan sauce right before served)

Step 1

I didn’t measure any of the herbs. I sprinkled the oregano and basil on both sides of the chicken generously along with the other seasonings. Added whatever fell on the plate (I used wax paper) after I seasoned the chicken to the crockpot. It was probably close to 1 tsp. of each. And my chicken breasts were still a bit frozen. Cooked for about 6 hours. Can’t cook those breasts too long or they turn to mush. Thighs could cook longer.
