SPAGHETTI A LA PATRICIA

It's good. Patricia alwsys wings it, it's never the same twice
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (I think you could use more)
- 12 fresh mushrooms
- 1 jar of a Paul Newman's type of tomato sauce
- (I would add some tomato paste to thicken the sauce, but not my call)
- 1-2 tsp salt
- 1-2 tsp pepper
- 1 TBSP oregeno
- 1 TBSP Thyme
- 1 TBSP Rosemary
- 1 tsp Italian seaoning.
- 1 tsp marajorim
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 3 cups red cooking wine
- 2 Tbsp chopped chili pepper flakes
- Use Whole Wheat Spaghetti noodles or some Whole Wheat pasta
RUM CAKE

Fabulous and popular desert
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- One 3 3/4 pkg jello vanilla pudding mix
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup dark rum Barcadi preferred.
- One 18 1/2 oz pkg of yellow cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup Wesson oil
- GLAZE
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- Marashino cherries (optional), green grapes (optional), powdered sugar (optional).
Burek (or Mini Beef Pies)

- 1 diced onion
- 4-5 lg mushroms (or a can)
- 3 cloves garlic
- Bit of salt and pepper
- 3/4 tbsp paprika
- 1 pkg Phillo Dough Sheets (frozen, safeway frozen foods has them)
FILET MIGNON

- filet mignon steaks, 5 to 6 ounces each
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 ounces presliced mixed mushrooms
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/4 cup steak sauce, such as A-1
- 1 tablespoon onion flakes
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar

MUSHROOM SOUP WITH SHERRY

- 11 Cups chicken stock or canned low-salt chicken broth
- 2/3 Cup dry sherry
- 2 ounces dried chanterelle or porcini mushrooms
- 5 Tbsp butter
- 2 Cups chopped onions
- 2 pounds mushrooms, sliced
- Whipping cream, whisked slightly to thicken (optional)
SALMON W/LEMON AND GREEK SALAD

Preheat oven to about 350 degrees
- For the salad:
- Servings: 4 oz salmon each
- 4 or 5 oz fillet of salmon
- 1 lemon, zest finely grated and lemon wedges cut evenly
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 medium cucumber, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch dice (about 2 cups)
- 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 3 medium scallions thinly sliced/diced green and white parts
- 1/4 cup parsley roughly chopped
- 1/8 tsp salt or more to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
