Bacon Maple Shortbread

Cook the bacon and set aside on paper towels to drain
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1 c SCALDED MILK
- 1/2 c SHORTENING
- 1/2 c SUGAR
- 1 ts SALT
- 2 pk YEAST
- 2 x EGGS, BEATEN
- 5 c FLOUR
- 1/2 c SUGAR
- 2 tb grated lemon rind
- 1/2 c MELTED MARGARINE
Green Bean Casserole

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 2 pounds fresh green beans, ends cut off
- Salt
- 4 slices bacon, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 whole large onion, chopped
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk, plus extra for thinning if needed
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
BLUE CHEESE MEAT LOAVES WITH BUFFALO SAUCE

Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, mix beef, cheese, bread crumbs, parsley and onion
- 1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (1 oz)
- 2 tablespoons Progresso® Italian style bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup Old El Paso® Thick 'n Chunky salsa
- 1 tablespoon purchased buffalo sauce or buffalo wing sauce
Stuffed Candy Corn Cake

For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Cake:
- 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for buttering the pans
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (see Cook's Note)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 cup whole milk, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs plus 1 large egg yolk, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- Frosting:
- 4 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons whole milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Filling and Decoration:
- 1 1/2 cups (9 ounces) candy corn candies
- 1/2 teaspoon orange gel food coloring
- 2 teaspoons yellow gel food coloring
Ladd's Chocolate Pie

In a large saucepan over medium heat, stir together the sugar, cornstarch and salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups whole milk
- 4 egg yolks, beaten with a fork
- 6 1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, broken into pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 baked pie shell (store-bought is fine)
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, hot fudge sauce, caramel sauce, chopped walnuts, raspberries and sprinkles

Preheat waffle iron. Using a hand mixer mix all ingredients until smooth

- 1 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
