Five-Spice Chicken Wings Recipe

Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip sections
- 3-1/2 pounds chicken wings
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce or additional soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 medium limes, cut into wedges

- 1/2 head napa cabbage, shredded

- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Coca-Cola Chicken Wings

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 2 lb chicken wings, wings and drummettes separated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dry sherry or Chinese rice wine
- 3/4 cup Coca-cola (not diet or anything flavored!)
- 2 scallions, chopped
- a few pinches of freshly ground black pepper
Sausage and Corn Bread Pudding

Dry bread cubes in oven 15 minutes on 250 degrees
- 8 oz loaf sourdough bread, cubed
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup plus 1/2 cup cheddar, shredded, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon thyme
- 1/8 pepper, ground
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1/2 pound sausage
- 1 small can creamed corn
- Optional - green onion
Homemade Turtles

Line two baking sheets or large platters with parchment paper
- 8 ounces pecan halves (I used roasted, lightly salted)
- 25 caramel squares, unwrapped (about 1 heaping cup)
- 1/4 cup cream or half-and-half
- 16 about 16 ounces roughly chopped chocolate, melted (I used 8 ounces dark and 8 ounces milk, both Trader Joe's Pound Plus bars)

- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 1/2 –2 cup diced cooked ham
- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 (8-oz) package shredded cheese of choice (such as cheddar, dry, plain breadcrumbs Swiss, etc.)
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk (or milk on hand, but whole is best)
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 –3 grates fresh nutmeg (optional)
- Fresh chives on top (optional)
Classic American Chop Suey

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
- 1/2 pound hot Italian sausage, ground
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 28-ounce can whole peeled tomatoes
- 2 15-ounce cans tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 lb box “Large Elbow” macaroni
- Salt and pepper, to taste
