- Apple Crisp a la Mode
- SERVES 4-6
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 35-45 minutes
- For the filling:
- 6 cups apples, peeled, cored and sliced (I used macs, maccoun, jonagold)
- Lemon juice from 1/2 lemon
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- For the topping:
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds (can also used chopped walnuts or pecans)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
