Chicken Barley Soup

In a Dutch oven, brown chicken in 1 tbs oil
- 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut into 3/4 pieces
- 2 tbs oil, divided
- 2 cups chopped leeks, white portion only
- 1 celery rib, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 (14 1/2 oz cans) chicken broth
- 2 1/4 cups water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup quick cooking barley
White Whole Wheat Bread

Mix everything together in bread pan
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 2 tbs oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups white whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast

In a large mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt

- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla

- 1/2 cup small curd cottage cheese

- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 cup cold brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tsp cider vinegar
- 3 tsp vanilla

- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 cup (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
