Ham & Cheese Pretzel Bites

Combine the yeast, 1 tsp brown sugar, and warm water in a large bowl
- 1 package (1/4 oz) active dry yeast (or instant yeast)
- 2 Tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar, divided
- 1/4 cup warm water (110-115 degrees F)
- 1 cup warm milk (110-115 degrees F)
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped ham (about 3 ounces)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese of choice (I used cheddar)
- 6 cups water
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1-2 Tablespoons coarse salt

Only 4 ingredients, the slow cooker does everything for you, and it’s delicious
- 2 pound white almond bark
- 4 ounces German chocolate bar
- 1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 24 ounces dry roasted peanuts
Citrus Trifle With Orange Custard

1. In a medium bowl combine milk and pudding mix; beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 2 minutes
- 2 cups fat-free milk
- 1 4-serving-size package fat-free sugar-free reduced-calorie vanilla instant pudding mix
- 2 teaspoons finely shredded orange peel
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 8 ounce package reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchatel), softened
- 3 cups assorted citrus fruit sections (such as blood oranges, tangelos, grapefruit, and/or navel oranges)
- 1/2 8 ounce angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 4 cups)
- Sliced kumquats and/or fresh mint sprigs (optional)
Strawberry Almond Tart

(Sweet Almond Pastry) • Cut the butter into small pieces and place in a bowl
- 1 lb. strawberries, sliced thin

- 1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar, sifted
- 1/4 cup ground almonds (can also use almond flour)
- 1 pinch salt
- A few drops vanilla extract (optional)

- 1 2/3 cups cake flour
- (Pastry Cream)
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 2/3 cup whole milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Hungarian Goulash Soup

In a large kettle, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp
- 3 bacon strips, diced
- 1-1/2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 small green pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- Pepper to taste
- Dash sugar
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup sour cream, optional
Moist Caramel Apple Cake

HEAT oven to 350ºF. BEAT first 5 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until well blended
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
- 1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla or French Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
- 1 cup water
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup oil
- 3 Granny Smith apples (1 lb.), peeled, coarsely chopped
- 20 KRAFT Caramels
- 3 Tbsp. milk
Chunky Egg Salad

In a small bowl, soak the onions in cold water, for 15 minutes
- 1/2 medium red onion, chopped
- 12 large eggs
- 1 stalk celery (with leaves), chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
- 1 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Serving suggestions: 8 slices country-style sourdough bread, sliced tomatoes, or salad greens
Caramelized Pineapple and Mango Napoleons

Prepare the phyllo dough: Preheat oven to 350 F
- For the phyllo layers:
- 1 package frozen phyllo sheets, defrosted overnight in refrigerator
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- For the filling:
- 2 mangoes, skin and pit removed, cut in 1/4″ dice
- Juice of one lime, about 2 tablespoons
- 1 fresh pineapple, ends trimmed, rind removed, cut in quarters lengthwise and cored
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Shredded coconut
- Runny honey for garnish

Place the above ingredients in a large GLASS OR METAL mixing bowl (OF A STAND MIXER)
- 3 ounce pkg. of Jello (favorite flavor)
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Coconut Banana Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup + 2 Tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut, divided
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg + 1/4 cup egg substitute
- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 Tbsp unsweetened applesauce
- 1 Tbsp agave (or maple syrup or honey)
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 1/2 bananas worth)
