Flemish Carbonades

In slow cooker, combine meat, onion, salt, pepper, sugar, garlic, beer and bacon
- 2 1/2 pounds boneless beef chuck , cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can beer
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- cooked noodles
Lebanese Marinade for Chicken

Mix all ingredients with hand blender
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
Frankfurter Fondue

Mix dry ingredients together
- Batter:
- weiners cut in 1 inch pieces
- 3/4 C all-purpose flour
- 1/4 C cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 C beer
Tropical Tea

Put tea bags into a slow cooker
- 6 tea bags
- 6 C boiling water
- 1/3 C sugar
- 2 T honey
- 1 1/2 C orange juice
- 1 1/2 C pineapple juice
- 1 orange (unpeeled), sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
Parsley Buttered Couscous

In medium saucepan, combine bouillon, water and margarine
- 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 teaspoons margarine
- 1 cup uncooked couscous
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, or 1 T dried
Marinade for Poultry

Mix all ingredients in a jar with a tight fitting lid
- 1/2 cup dry vermouth
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup yellow onion, minced
- 1/2 fresh parsley, minced
Cheese & Herb Bread

Preheat oven to 350F. Slice baquette
- 1 baquette
- 1/2 C butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp chopped tarragon
- 1/2 tsp chopped oregano
- 1/2 tsp chopped chervil
- 1/2 tsp chopped basil
- 1 tsp chopped parsley
- 4 oz cheese
Pineapple Chicken

- 1 large egg, fork-beaten
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 C fine dry bread crumbs
- 2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1 1/2 lbs ground chicken
- 14 oz canned pineapple tidbits, with juice
- 1/3 C white vinegar
- 2 tsp ketchup
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon owder
- 1/3 C brown sugar, packed
- 1 medium green pepepr, diced into 3/4" pieces
- 1/3 C chopped green onion
- 2/3 C water
- 3 T cornstarch
Blueberry Muffins

Grease 6 hole 3/4 cup capacity muffin pan
- 2 C self-raising flour
- 3/4 C brown sugar
- 1 C fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3/4 C buttermilk
- 1/2 C vegetable oil
Hungarian Goulash

Combine first 7 ingredients in 3 1/2 l slow cooker
- 1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat , cut in 3/4" cubes
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 14 ounces canned tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid gravy browner
- 2 teaspoons beef bouillon powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
