Rice With Almonds

Cook rice in water and oil
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 cup rice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup toasted almonds
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- salt and pepper
- 2 teaspoons amaretto
BBQ Beef Sandwiches

Place beef in slow cooker
- 1 3lb boneless beef chuck roast
- 1/4 C ketchup
- 2 T brown sugar
- 2 T red wine vinegar
- 1 T Dijon mustard
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp liquid smoke
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 10 to 12 french rolls or sandwich buns, sliced in half
Spinach & Artichoke Dip 2

Strain spinach and squeeze out as much liquid as possible; mince; set aside
- 2 10 ounce boxes frozen spinach, thawed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chicken stock
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup grated pecorino romano cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar
- 12 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
Mom's Best Ever Borscht

In large pot half full of boiling salted water, cook potatoes
- 7 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 5 carrots, grated
- 4 beets, grated
- 1 medium cabbage, grated
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup butter
- finely chopped celery, optional
Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin

Combine spices/seasonings and rub over pork
- 1 pork tenderloin, cleaned and trimmed
- 3 slices bacon
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon dried crumbled basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried crumbled oregano
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- olive oil
Peppercorn Sauce

Sear steak in heavy pan. Deglaze pan with 1/4 - 1/3 cup Brandy

Cranberry Apple Crisp

Heat oven to 375F. Grease 12x8-inch baking dish
- 5 C peeled, sliced apples
- 1 1/2 C fresh or frozen chopped cranberries
- 1 C sugar
- 2 T flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 C quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 C firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 C flour
- 1/4 C butter
- 1/2 C chopped nuts
- Whipped cream
Waffles

Measure flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, into mixing bowl
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 2 T sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 C milk
- 1/4 C butter, melted
Basil Mayo

Blend all ingredients together
- 1/4 C mayo
- 1/4 C fresh basil
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp honey
- salt and pepper to taste

- FILLING:
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup water
- 12 sheets frozen phyllo pastry, thawed
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 pounds fresh or frozen spinach
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 teaspoon each nutmeg and pepper
- 12 ounces feta cheese
- 1/3 cup pine nuts, toasted
- 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
