Grandma's Pound Cake

A very easy pound cake that works well to freeze for later
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Blueberry Frozen Yogurt

- 1 pound frozen blueberries, thawed and drained
- 1 tablespoon plus 1/3 cup honey
- Two 3-inch-long sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 cups chilled reduced-fat 2-percent plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup agave
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Icebox Shortbread

This recipe makes two logs of dough
- FOR THE SHORTBREAD
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled), plus more for rolling
- FLAVOR VARIATIONS (OPTIONAL MIX-INS AND COATINGS)
- Mix in grated zest of 2 oranges and 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- Mix in grated zest of 2 lemons; coat with 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- Mix in grated zest of 2 limes; coat with 1/4 cup cornmeal
- Mix in 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots; coat with 1/2 cup finely chopped pistachios
- Mix in 1/2 cup mini chocolate or peanut-butter chips
- Mix in 1/4 cup finely chopped candied ginger; coat with 1/4 cup sesame seeds
Maple Frosting

In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, syrup, vanilla and maple flavoring
- 4 oz cream cheese-softened
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine-softened
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon imitation maple flavor
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
Homemade Graham Crackers

These graham crackers are not too sweet but plenty spicy and crunchy
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups whole-wheat flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoon molasses
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Diablo Pumpkin Seed Brittle

- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Special equipment: Candy thermometer
Apple Cinnamon Chex Mix

In large microwavable bowl, mix cereal and almonds
- 5 cups Wheat Chex® cereal
- (cinnamon chex mix works well too)
- 1 cup lightly salted whole almonds
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped dried apples
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt-covered raisins
Easy Decadent Truffles

- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- coconut, walnuts, candy sprinkles, cocoa etc. to roll them in
