Corn with Two Rices

- 1/4 c wild rice
- 1/4 c long grain white rice
- 1 T butter
- 1 1/2 c water
- 1 T olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 c frozen corn kernels
- 1 T dried basil
- salt and pepper to taste
Meatballs in Burgundy Sauce

Combine all ingredients except the noodles in slow cooker; stir to blend
- 60 frozen fully cooked meatballs
- 3 c chopped onion
- 1 1/2 c water
- 1 c red wine
- 2 pkg brown gravy mix
- 1/4 c ketchup
- 1 T dried oregano
- 1 pkg (8oz) curly noodles
Celery and Olive Chop

You can add this to tuna, or pasta, or whatever your heart desires
- 2 1/2 c chopped celery including leaves
- 1 /c c chopped red onion
- 1/3 c chopped pitted green olives
- 1/4 c EVOO
- 1 T red wine vinegar
- 1 t chopped fresh oregano
- 1/2 t dijon mustard

Rosemary Green Beans

- 1/2 lb fresh green beans
- 2 t butter
- 3 T onion chopped
- 1/8 t garlic powder
- 1 dash salt
- 1/4 t dried rosemary
- 1/8 t dried basil
Egg Drop Soup

- 2 c low sodium chicken
- 2 T carrot or celery finely chopped
- 1 t onion salt
- pepper if desired
- 1 egg, beaten
No Fuss Potato Soup

IN a large slow cooker, combine the first nine ingredients
- 6 cups cubed peeled potatoes
- 5 cups water
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced carrot
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 4 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- snipped chives optional
Potato Rolls

Heat a med sauce pan over med heat and add the milk
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3/4 c unsalted butter
- 3 c scalded milk (instructions below)
- 1 c potato flakes
- 1 T salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 T instant yeast or 2 T regular yeast
- 7 c flour
- 1/3 c additional butter, softened
Apple and Pear Crisp

Preheat oven to 375. Mix first 5 ingredients in a med bowl, using a pastry cutter or fork, until crumbly
- 1/2 c light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c butter
- 3/4 c flour
- 1 t cinnamon
- 5 Pink Lady apples peeled, cored and cut into eighths
- 1 Anjou pear, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
- 1/4 c water
- 5 t butter
- vanilla ice cream or half and half for serving
Elvis' Gooey Butter Cake

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Cake:
- 1 (18 1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 1 egg
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted
- Mint leaves, for garnish
- Whipped cream, for garnish
- Filling:
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 whole banana
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter
- 1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar
