Apple Crisp

Lightly grease an 8" pan. Peel and slice apples
- 3 medium apples
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c.butter
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. quick rolled oats
Baked Cauliflower Puree

Can be made ahead of time and then reheated slowly in the oven
- 1 large cauliflower, separated into flowerets
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 Tbs. butter
Southern Creamed Turkey

- 1 chicken bouillion cube
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 c. cooked turkey
- 2 Tbs. white wine (optional)

Grilled Chicken Marinade

Use as a marinade for grilled chicken, 4-12 hours
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbs. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- Dash cayenne
- 2 Tbs. vinegar
- 1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Tabasco
- 1 tsp. chili powder
Greek Salad Salsa

Mix all together and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
- 1 1/2 c. crumbled feta cheese
- 1 large ripe tomato, seeded and chopped
- 3 scallions, sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 1/2 c. black olives, pitted and sliced
- 1/4 c. minced flat-leafe parsley
- 2 Tbs. minced fresh oregano
- 2 Tbs. snipped fresh dill
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/3 c. olive oil
- Pepper
- Toasted pita chips
New Orleans BBQ Shrimp

Melt butter and garlic in a large skillet
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. cayenne
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red chiles
- 1/2 tsp. onion salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 lb. shrimp
- 1 Tbs. minced garlic
- 1 dash Worchestershire
- 1/4 c. beer
Candy Apple Pie

Crust: Combine 1st four crust ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 3 Tbs. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. melted butter
- 3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping

- Filling:
- 5 Granny Smith apples
- 5 Tbs. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Cream Cheese Topping:
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbs. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
- Topping:
- 3/4 c. cream, whipped
- 2 Tbs. sugar
- 1/2 c. caramel topping
- 1/4 c. pecans
Artichoke Dip by Heather

A recreation of an artichoke spread found in a Chicago gourmet grocery
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 3-4 canned artichoke hearts
- 3 Tbs. Parmesan
- 2-3 green onions
- 3 cloves garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. Tabasco
- 1 Tbs. lemon juice
- Enough olive oil for the desired consistency.
Bloody Marys

Mix together. Pour over ice and stir in 1-1/2 oz
- 1 qt. tomato juice
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco
- 4 tsp. lime juice
- 3 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. salt.
San Francisco Baked Mushrooms

- 1 medium onion, grated

- 1/8 tsp. dried basil
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1-2 Tbs. white wine.

- 4 Tbs. butter
- 1/2 c. coarse bread crumbs
- 1 Tbs. Parmesan
