  • For the Filling:
  • 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise and seeds scraped out
  • 1 1/4 cups cold light cream
  • 1 quart strawberries, hulled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • Confectioners' sugar, for dusting
