- 1 small onion, minced or pureed
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced ( or 1/8 tsp ground ginger)
- 2 cups cooked, cut chicken, ham, pork, beef, or shrimp
- 4 cups cooked rice, cold (brown rice)
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional extra: 1/2 cup peas and/or 2 diced scallions
