Combine all the cinnamon ripple ingredients in a mixing bowl and use an electric mixer to blend them

- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- MUFFIN BATTER
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- 1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 cups packed light-brown sugar
- 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Confectioners' sugar, colored sugar, cocoa, or crushed toffee bits, for decoration

In a large bowl, place the flour, xanthan gum, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar and whisk to combine well
- 2 cups all-purpose gluten-free flour (I use Better Batter)
- 1 teaspoon xanthan gum (omit if using Better Batter)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
- 2 extra-large eggs at room temperature, lightly beaten
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled (plus more)
- 2 1/2 cups milk (nondairy is fine, low-fat is fine but nonfat is not), at room temperature (plus more)
