Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz. pack watermelon Kool-aide powder (Not with sugar or sugar substitute added) Can use any other flavor such as lime or lemon etc.
  • 1 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups softened butter
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 cups packed flour
  • 1/2 cup regular sugar in a bowl

Step 1

Mix Kool-aide with the sugar. Add softened butter and mix until fluffy. Add eggs and mix well. Mix in the salt and baking soda and make sure they are incorpprated well. Add the flour in half cup increments, mixing after each addtions.

spray cookie sheets with Pam or use parchment paper. roll dough balls one inch in diamer with your hands. Roll the cookie balls in the bowl of white sugar and place them on the cookie sheet, 12 to a standard size sheet.

Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until they're just begining to turn golden around the edges. Do Not Overbake.

Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheets for no more than a minute, and then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Yields 6 dozen pretty and unusual cookies.
