Tomato Cream Pasta Sauce


A light sauce perfect for Gnocchi

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 ounce)Red Pack diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano, undrained and pureed
  • 1-2 tsp dried basil leaves
  • 3/4 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream



Step 1

1. In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat until fragrant. Add tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper, Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low,stir in heavy cream and simmer for 5 more minutes
2. Serve with your favorite pasta
