Ground Beef and Potatoes*(GOOD)*

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Montreal Seasoning
  • 6 medium potatoes

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef, garlic and shortening and drain. To boiling water add onions for 5 minutes. Add mushroom soup, salt and seasoning and garlic to cooked onions. Cover bottom of casserole dish with layer of potatoes; cover this with thin layer of ground beef. Top with onion-soup mixture. Continue alternating layers until all ingredients are used up. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Extra water may be added if needed.
