Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) Cool Whip
  • 1 (6 ounce) pkg. strawberry jello
  • 2 (10 ounce) pkgs. frozen strawberries

Step 1

Combine the margarine, flour, sugar, and pecans. Press into 13 x 9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cream the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Add Cool Whip to creamed mixture. Spread over crust. Dissolve jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add strawberries to dissolved jello and mix well. Pour over cream cheese layer. Chill for 4 hours or overnight.

Note: Pour the strawberries and jello over the cream cheese layer as soon as they are combined because the jello begins to gel quickly!
