great 1950's refreshing salad

Ingredients

• 2- 6 oz.pkg lime jello
• 4 cups hot water
• 2 cups cold water
• 1 cup crushed pineapple
• 1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
• 1 pkg Dream Whip
• 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Combine Jello and hot water in a large bowl, stirring until dissolved. Pour in cold water; mix. Stir in pineapple and nuts. Refrigerate until mixture has thickened to a jelly like consistency.
In a medium bowl, stir together the Dream Whip and milk. Whip until mixture is stiff. Fold into the jello mixture gently, a small amount at a time until mixed well, leaving the Dream Whip as fluffy as possible.
Turn mixture into a 9X13 pan and refrigerate for several hours or overnight before serving
