Oven roasted garlic asparagus
By SandyC
This is a quick asparagus side dish that everyone in my family loves. Roasting it with some crushed or minced garlic and olive oil gives it a bit of a nutty flavor. Yummy!
Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus, bottom ends cut off or snapped off
- 1 - 2 cloves of garlic, crushed or minced
- 2 tbs. extra virgin (or whatever type you prefer) olive oil
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Wash and dry asparagus. Cut or snap bottom ends off ( at least 1 inch).
Mince or crush garlic cloves and put into a medium to large bowl. Add olive oil to bowl. Whisk to mix with garlic. Place asparagus in bowl and stir to cover with garlic and olive oil mixture. Place asparagus on a cookie sheet or baking pan in single layer. Place in oven. Set timer for 20 min. Turn asparagus halfway through baking time.
It usually takes 20 min. or so in my oven to get the asparagus as done as we like it. If you like it more or less done(or your oven cooks faster or slower) reduce or increase baking time to suit your family's taste. Enjoy!
