Ingredients
- 1/2 c butter or margarine
- 2/3 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c fresh cooked or canned pumpkin puree
- 1 1/2 c white flour (or a little more if you use homemade pumpkin)
- 2 t baking powder
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t nutmeg
- 1/8 t ground cloves
- 1 1/4 c rolled oats, regular or quick
- 1/2 c chopped dates
- 3/4 c raisins
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts

Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 375*. In large mixing bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar together. Beat in eggs and add pumpkin. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Stir this mixture inti the pumpkin mixture. Add oats, dates, raisins and walnuts and combine the ingredients well. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about two inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake cookies for about 12 minutes. Remove cookies to a rack to cool. Makes about 6 dozen cookies
