    boneless skinless chicken breasts

    slices of mozzarella cheese

  • 4

    slices of danish ham

  • 16

    spears of asparagus or broccoli (cooked)

  • egg & milk bath

  • olive oil

  • 1/2

    tablespoons butter

  • seasoned bread crumbs

  • Cheese sauce:

  • 2

    tablespoons butter

  • 2

    tablespoons flour

  • 1

    cup milk

  • 3/4

    cup cheddar cheese

  • 1/4

    cup parmesan cheese

  • paprika

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 F. Dip chicken in egg & milk bath, then bread crumbs. Refigerate for 15 minutes. Fry chickn in oil and butter slowly until almost cook through. In baking dish, layer asparagus, chicken, ham, then cheese. Pour cheese sauce on top bake for 20 minutes. You can make ahead and keep refigerated. In which case, bake 10-20 minutes longer. Cheese Sauce: Mix flour, butter, milk and cheese in saucepan. Cook on medium heat. Stir constant with wire whisk until smooth and thickened. Pour on top of chicken. Spinkle with paprika and bake.
