Ingredients

  • 5

    apples, peeled, cored and sliced

  • ¾

    c. sugar

  • 15-¼ oz. can crushed pineapple

  • c. red cinnamon candies

  • 2

    T. instant tapioca, uncooked

  • 3

    T. butter, softened

  • 2

    9-inch pie crusts

  • In a bowl, combine all ingredients except crusts. Place one crust

  • in a 9" pie plate; top with apple mixture. Cut remaining crust into

  • ½-inch strips; form a lattice pattern over filling. Bake at

  • 425

    degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees

  • and bake an additional 30 minutes. Let cool. Serves 8.
