Pumpkin Poke Cake
Recipe from my friend, Meghan Mims!
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix)
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 8 oz. Cool Whip
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- Caramel sundae sauce
- Crushed Heath bars
Mix cake mix, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice until a smooth batter forms. DO NOT ADD THE OTHER INGREDIENTS, EGGS, OIL, ETC. listed on the cake mix box. Pour into a greased 13 X 9 in. pan and bake according to the directions on the cake mix box.
Let cake cool for about 10 minutes. Then use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake. Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk over the cake. Let sit for about 30 minutes. Spread softened Cool Whip to cover the cake. Sprinkle bits of crushed Heath bar and drizzle caramel sauce on top.
