Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 30 Slices White Bread
  • 1/2 Cup – Sugar
  • 16 oz – Cream Cheese
  • 1/3 Cup – Maple Syrup
  • 1 Can Blueberries, drained
  • 1 Tbsp – Vanilla
  • 12 Eggs
  • 1/4 tsp - Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup – Evaporated Milk
  • 1/4 tsp - Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup – Whole Milk
  • 1 Cup – Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp - Cornstarch
  • 1 Cup – Water
  • 1 Can Blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp – Butter
  • 1 tsp – Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Tear crusts off bread & discard. Tear 20 slices into 1 inch pieces & place in 9x13 pan. Cut cream cheese into 1 inch cubes & place over bread. Top with blueberries. Tear rest of bread into pieces & place on top. Beat eggs, milk, sugar, syrup, vanilla, & spices. Pour over bread. Cover & refrigerate overnight. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking. Cover & bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Uncover & bake 25 minutes more.
Sauce: Combine sugar, cold water & cornstarch in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add blueberries & simmer 10 minutes. Add butter & vanilla.
