Apple Turkey Brine

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 gallon of cold water
- 3 quarts of apple juice
- 3 quarts of orange juice
- 2 1/2 cups kosher salt
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 10 whole cloves
- 2 TBS ground nutmeg

Preparation
Step 1
Add apple and orange juice into a large pot of medium heat. Add salt, sugar, cloves and nutmeg. Simmer 15 min. until salt and sugar are dissolved. Remove from heat to cool. Add cold water. Place poultry in a large plastic container pouring brine over the poultry. Brine for 1 hour per pound of poultry in refrigerator. Thoroughly rinse all brine from poultry before cooking.
