Garlic Shrimp

  • 5 fresh Texas toast bread slices
  • 2-3 tbs olive oil
  • 1 lb peeled sm raw shrimp
  • Salt & pepper
  • 4 lg fresh basil leaves minced
  • 1 tbs minced garlic
  • 2 tbs minced shallots
  • 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley to garnish


Preparation time 10mins


Step 1

Drizzle bread slices with olive oil and toast in under preheated broiler in oven until toasted. Cut bread slices into triangles. Place on serving platter. Melt butter and remaining oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add shrimp, basil and onions. Sauté 2 minutes or until shrimp turns pink. Add garlic, lemon juice and parsley sauté 1 minute. Serve shrimp over toast.
