Scalloped Potatoes – Mom’s

  • 6-8 potatoes – sliced 1/4 inch, boiled and drained
  • 2 c. cubed ham
  • cheese sauce
  • 2 T. melted butter
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1 ½ c. milk
  • 2 c. grated sharp cheddar
  • pinch of red pepper



Step 1

Melt butter on low heat, add flour and stir.
Slowly add milk whisking continuously making sure there are no lumps
Increase to medium heat stirring occasionally.
Boil and stir for 1 min.
Remove from heat, let sit for 5 min.
Add grated cheese, whisk until smooth
Add cubed ham to cheese sauce

Place potatoes in baking dish. Pour sauce over top.
Bake uncovered @ 350 for 30 min
