Ingredients

  • zucchini 1 pound cut into shapes of choice
  • buttermilk 3/4 cup
  • flour 1/2 cup
  • cornmeal 1/2 cup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • peanut oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, and cornmeal, set aside
Soak zucchini in buttermilk for at least 1 hour
Coat in flour mixture
Deep fry until golden brown
Remove from fryer and add salt and pepper if desired
