Southern Cream Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 1/4 c sugar
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups finely chopped tart apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 butter

Step 1

Bake pie shell at 350 for 7 minutes. Cool and set aside. combine 3/4 c of sugar and 2 tbs flour. Add sour cream, egg, vanilla and salt and beat until smooth. Stir in apples and turn mixture into partially baked pie shell.

Bake at 450 for 30 minutes or until filling is almost set. Blend remaining 1/2 c sugar, 6 tbs flour, cinnamon and butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over pie and bake 10 minutes.
