Blackberry Cobbler

We have grown blackberries at our Heath home for years and this is a summer staple! So easy. Be sure the berries you use are ripe to make the cobbler juicy.
Ingredients
- 8 cups fresh blackberries
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup butter
- sugar & cinnamon

Step 1
Stir together first 4 ingredients
Let mixture stand 10 minutes or until sugar dissolves.
Roll half of pasty to 1/4 inch thickness, cut into 1/ 1/2 inch wide strips. Place on a lilghtly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 425 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to a wire rack to cool Break strips into pieces.
Spoon half of blackberry mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. top with pastry pieces. Spoon remaining blackberry mixture over pasty dot with butter. Roll reamining pastry to 1/4 inch thickeness, cut into 1 inch strips and arrange in a alttice design over filling. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Place cobbler on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until golden brown. 8 servings.
