Asparagus Tea Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz.) can asparagus,drained
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 8 oz. cream cheese, room temp.
- 1 (1 lb.) loaf thin-sliced bread
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise

Preparation
Step 1
In a shallow bowl, mash the asparagus until as much liquid has been absorbed as possible. Drain off remaining liquid. Add the cream cheese, mayonnaise, salt and chopped pecans; mix with an electric mixer until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to use. Spread the mixture on half the bread slices and top with the remaining slices. Trim away the crusts and cut each sandwich in quarters. Yield 60.
