Mulled Apple Cider

This delicious hot apple cider drink is perfect for those cold months of the year. Spiced with cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, fresh nutmeg and a little lemon zest. Cheers!

Ingredients

  • 2

    quarts apple cider

  • 10

    cinnamon sticks

  • 10

    whole cloves

  • 1

    tablespoon freshly grated nutmeg

  • 1

    tablespoon lemon zest

  • 12

    ounces Calvados, optional

Directions

In a large pot, heat apple cider, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, freshly grated nutmeg and lemon zest until hot but not boiling, at least 10 minutes. Transfer to a heatproof punch bowl (or serve out of the pot) and stir in 12 ounce Calvados.
