ROSEMARY AU GRATIN POTATOES

If you prefer, thyme or sage can be substituted for the rosemary.

Ingredients
- 3 Tbs butter
- 1 cups half and half cream
- 2 Tbs all purpose flour
- 1 Tbs minced fresh rosemary
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp dried crushed rosemary
- 1/8 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1.5 lbs baking potatoes, peeled and
- thinly sliced
- 2/3 cups grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add the cream. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat. Stir in the rosemary, garlic, salt, pepper and potatoes.
Transfer to a greased 13 X 9 X 2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle w/Parmesan cheese. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Uncover; bake 10-15 minutes longer or until top is browned.
