Smothered Chicken and Green Bean Skillet

Ingredients

  • HINT:
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 2 c frozen green beans
  • 1 can (10 3/4oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 t dried thyme leaves
  • 1 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • May substitute golden mushroom soup for cream of mushroom soup

Preparation

Step 1

Heat large non-stick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cover. Cook 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until done (165F). Remove from skillet.

Add beans, soup, 1/2 c water and thyme to skillet; cover. Cook 6 minutes, stirring often.

Return chicken to skillet; cook 1 minute or until hot. Top with cheese.

Serve with boiled new potatoes.
