Ingredients

  • 2 pounds hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, condensed, undiluted
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups corn flakes, crushed

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350. Combine corn flakes with 1/4 cup of the melted butter.

2. Combine all remaining ingredients except corn flakes.

3. Place ingredients except corn flakes in 3 qt casserole or flat baking dish.

4. Sprinkle corn flakes mixture on top.

5. Bake 45 minutes or so (DO NOT overbake or potatoes will become mashed potatoes).
