Mom's Cherry Squares

This is a great little dessert my mom made all the time when I was a kid. I found the recipe, but there were no directions, so I am going from memory. Good luck making them and enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 can cherry pie filling (or other fruit variety)

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream butter and sugar together, add eggs. Add flour and extracts and mix thoroughly. Pour into prepared jellyroll pan. Place spoonfuls of pie filling on batter, evenly distributing so that the finished product can be cut into squares.
Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
