Vegetarian Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans; drained, rinsed, & mashed
- 1/4 C. onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 C. corn
- 1/4 C. thick & chunky salsa
- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 2 T. snipped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 C. dry bread crumbs
- 2 egg whites, lightly beaten

Preparation
Step 1
1. Mash beans. Add onion, corn, salsa, garlic, cilantro, salt, & pepper. Mix well. Add bread crumbs and egg whites; mix well. Form mixture into four round patties.
2. Heat skillet over medium heat until hot. Lightly spray pan with nonstick spray; cook patties 6-8 min. or until lightly browned, turining once.
3. Place burgers on whole wheat hamburger buns. Top with sour cream, salsa, and lettuce.
