Sliced potatoes and onions - pressure cooker

  • 4 Large potatoes peeled and sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons shortening
  • 2 Medium onions cut into rings
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • Parmesan cheese

Step 1

Peel and sliced potatoes set-aside in cold water to keep from darkening. Heat shortening in cooker, tan onions. Add potatoes, salt and water. Close the cover the pressure cooker securely. Put pressure control in place. When pressure is reached, cook for 3 minutes. cool Pressure cooker at once under running water.
Place potatoes in serving dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. The heat of the potatoes will melt the cheese so all the favors blend.
