Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cups pumpkin (need 2-16 oz cans)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350º. Grease and flour 3 medium size loaf pans.

Into a large bowl sift dry ingredients; mix well. Add remainder of ingredients except nuts. Mix well. Add nuts and mix.

Pour into pans and bake at 350º for about 1 hour or until done in the middle. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Turn on rack, cool completely before storing.

Notes:
For glass baking dish - 325º
Can be doubled and tripled.
Freezes well.
