Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 13-ounce can minced clams
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 3 scallions, chopped fine
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon bottled horseradish, drained
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Tabasco to taste

Preparation
Step 1
In a skillet, cook the bacon over moderate heat, stirring, until golden and crisp. Transfer with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain.
In a large sieve set over a bowl, drain clams, reserving clam juice. In another bowl, whisk together cream cheese and sour cream. Whisk 2 tablespoons of the reserved clam juice into cream cheese mixture with clams, bacon and remaining ingredients.
