Japanese Style Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 3/4 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, stems removed
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • minced garlic, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Warm a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Wehen the skillet is hot, pour in oils then place whole green beans in skillet. Stir the beans to coat with oil. Cook until the beans are bright green and slightly browned in spots, about 8 minutes. Add garlic and simmer for additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in soy sauce; cover, and let sit about 5 minutes. Transfer to serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
