Ingredients
- 3 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 sticks butter, cold and cut into pieces
- 2 large egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1 c strawberry jam
- powdered sugar for sprinkling

Preparation
Step 1
In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter and blend mixture till it resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg yolks, blend the mixture until it forms a dough. Chill the dough, wrapped in plastic wrap, for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350. Let dough soften slightly, roll level teaspoons of it into balls and arrange balls about 2 inches apart on lightly greased or parchment lined sheets. Using thumb or back of teaspoon measure, make indent. Fill indents with jam. Bake 12-15 min or until pale golden. Let cool 2 minutes, then transfer to rack.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
